The news concerning Elton Brand's shoulder is not good, but considerably better than it could have been. The MRI revealed a fracture and tear, however nothing that appears to need surgery at this point. All things considered, one month really doesn't seem that bad.
We'll see how the Sixers respond. They already notched a comeback without their power forward last night, and already there are suggestions Brand doesn't fit. Either way, they should be able to weather the storm without him for a short period of time. [Deep Sixer]
