Brandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo likely won’t be exchanging Christmas presents anytime soon, but they were exchanging unpleasentries on Friday night, which almost led to a fight. The Bucks’ point guard said he almost fought Rondo, but had second thoughts because of the fines he would incur. Rondo bumped Jennings during the first quarter, and the two had some words. “It was the first quarter,” Jennings told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal. “I thought at one point we were going to start fighting, but nobody wants to give up that money.” It was wise for Jennings to keep calm. The Bucks wound up winning 99-94 over the Celtics. It was Milwaukee’s third win over Boston this season. Jennings contributed with 12 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. “I just tried not to get caught up in it,” Jennings said. “He’s going to talk mess. That’s who Rondo is as a point guard. “The main thing is, you’ve just got to keep going at him. I knew I wasn’t 100 percent tonight so why not just go out the

Rondo and Bradley Play 2 on 2 Before the Bucks Game

Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Kris Joseph and Courtney Lee play a game of 2-on-2 before Friday's game between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden. Thanks to Mike Petraglia for the video...

Magic Johnson Calls Rajon Rondo ‘Best All-Around’ Point Guard in NBA, Had No Idea He Held Double-Digit Assist Streak

Rajon Rondo spent the early part of this season stalking Magic Johnson‘s record of 46 straight games with double-digit assists. Rondo took the streak so seriously he allowed himself to be kept in the game into the final minute of a loss in Detroit just to notch that decisive 10th assist to keep his run alive. Rondo’s streak eventually ended at 37 games, which tied John Stockton...

Rondo: “Bradley is going to be the key to why we win the championship”

Over at the Boston Herald, Mark Murphy has an excellent feature on Rajon Rondo and the impact he believes Avery Bradley will have in his return to the Celtics. From the Herald:“A couple of guys last year had things to say,” [Rondo] said. “It’s kind of funny. Celtics-Nets Live: Rajon Rondo, Kris Humphries Unlikely to Renew Acquaintances on Christmas Day

8 a.m. ET: If ESPN tries to play up the angle of Rajon Rondo versus Kris Humphries on Tuesday, go ahead and finish unwrapping your presents, because a repeat of the Nov. 28 fireworks between those two is unlikely. Humphries did not play in the Nets’ last game, a 95-92 win over the Sixers, and he played less than 18 minutes against the Knicks last Wednesday. It appears that getting...

Your Morning Dump… Where Avery Bradley is on the minds of C’s opponents

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Many opposing point guards had an interesting take on that moment last season when Rondo, rested up, came back on the floor to replace his young backup. This was before Ray Allen’s deteriorating right ankle made...

Celtics 93, Nets 76: A nice stocking stuffer

For Christmas, at least, the Celtics played well. Jared Sullinger solidified himself as my hero, Rajon Rondo continued to show more aggression as a scorer, Gerald Wallace may or may not have wanted to brawl, Deron Williams (and Joe Johnson) used to be a lot better, and I don’t know if I said this before, but Sullinger’s my hero.I would write more, but I’m going to see Les Miserables...

Bucks blow lead, but prevail in OT against Celtics
