NFL.com reports that the Chicago Bears have acquired controversial Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler and a 2009 fifth-round pick (140th overall) in exchange for the Bears' first-round draft pick (18th overall) this year and in 2010, a third-round pick (84th overall) this year, and quarterback Kyle Orton. The move comes on the heels of a trade request by the unhappy Cutler following the firing of Mike Shanahan, along with a potential deal which would have brought quarterback Matt Cassel to the Mile High City. After several weeks of attempting to rectify the rapidly deteriorating situation, the Broncos decided to listen to trade offers when the quarterback reportedly would not return the calls of new head coach Josh McDaniels and owner Pat Bowlen. Cutler threw for a Denver franchise-record 4,526 yards, 25 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 2008. In his 37-game career with the Broncos, Cutler completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 9,024 yards, 54 TDs and 37 interceptions. B...
