Tired of hearing unimportant mediocre NBA stories this off season? Me too. I'm ready for the season baby! Since all the big off season signings, it's been quite boring this off season. Other than Beasley and Starbury smoking weed, lately the NBA has been dull.
The Good and the Bad of the 2008-2009 NBA Season-Chauncey Billups to the NuggetsIs there even an argument that this was the best move of last year's season? The best move for Denver, and the worst move for Detroit. Iverson copped out at the end of the season and Motown got swept by Cleveland. The Nuggets made a deep playoff run, and are in good position this year to make another run. Without a doubt the best move last season, in my mind.
-Greg OdenlessThe next Shaq right? I'm not a Greg Oden hater, I just hate how some people make a player to be God's gift to basketball without really seeing what he does in the league first. I'm sure Oden will turn out to be a decent player, but not first pick in the draft material.
-Stephon Marbury to the CelticsWhy? Why did this move even happen? Stephon was useless with a Celtics uniform on. In 23 games with Boston, Steph averaged 3.8 points per game in about 18 minutes. The biggest thing about him returning to the NBA was him apparently being "changed" and not the same player he was in New York. That video of him smoking weed the other day if clear evidence of his change.
-Kevin Durant playing lights outI was always a bigger fan of KD than I was Greg Oden. But this year Kevin played like a true all-star in only his second season. 25.3 points per game in his second season is pretty good. He also set the rookie-sophomore game record for most points. He looks to have a bright future.
That's all I have for Today, but I will give you a look at this past season's block party.
