England basketball star Pops Mensah-Bonsu will support Ghana in Tuesday's friendly England basketball star Pops Mensah-Bonsu has dumped his country to support Ghana for Tuesday’s international friendly at Wembley. The 27-year-old, who played for NBA side New Orleans Hornets, is of Ghanaian heritage as his parents are from the West African country. On the occasion of next Tuesday’s historic first-ever meeting between England and Ghana’s national teams, Mensah-Bonsu, was moved to declare where his allegiance is. The power forward who is part of the Great Britain Olympic basketball team says he will not support England when they play Ghana.
