Here is the game of the week in the NBA folks. The Bulls and Heat are tied for second place in the Eastern Conference and are trying to make ground on Boston, who sits three games ahead of both teams.
Both teams are going through possibly their toughest string of games the entire year.
The Bulls are on closing off their 5-game road trip, which includes games at Milwaukee, at Washington, at Atlanta, at Orlando, and at Miami tomorrow. So far, the Bulls have gone 3-1 on the road trip, which is great considering how poorly they played on the road during the first half of the season.
As for Miami, things haven’t been going quite as well. On Thursday night, the Heat lost to Orlando after blowing a 24-point lead. Then, on Friday, they were blown out by the Spurs, 125-95, in a game that wasn’t close from the beginning.
We all know the Heat struggle against top teams this year, and I do not expect that to change against the Bulls tomorrow. The Bulls know what is on the line, and I just have not been convinced that the Heat can take down a top team, especially right now.
Don’t get me wrong, though, this is will be a close game. But, I don’t think the Heat can close out a game good enough to get a win.
So, I think the Bulls win another close game against the Heat, making it a season sweep and putting them at sole possession of second place in the East.
Prediction: Bulls by 3.
