The Indiana Pacers signed Andrew Bynum on Feb. 1, but he hasn't appeared in any of their 13 games since. Bynum hasn’t played since Dec. 26 when he was still a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers and missed all of last season due to knee issues. The Pacers weren’t scared off by Bynum’s extensive medical history, but have been very careful with his health. The term "weeks" was used when Bynum was first signed. It was then expected that he’d sit out until after the All-Star break. On Saturday night, Frank Vogel pushed back his Indiana debut even further. "A few weeks," Vogel said when asked about Bynum. “We're not putting a firm timetable on it. Our trainers are doing some things to strengthen the area around his knees so when he becomes an everyday player, he’ll be there for us. The soreness he’s experienced in the last couple years is minimal and while we are doing that there is the process of getting him back in game shape because he had weeks off after l...

Vine: Gordon Hayward Breaks Paul George’s Ankles

Paul George has emerged as one of the best two-way players in the NBA and is considered a top defender on the wing. That doesn’t mean he can’t get his ankles broken on the court once or twice. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the doing of a Kyrie Irving, Russell Westbrook, or Rajon Rondo. It was actually Utah Jazz guard Gordon Hayward who almost caused George to take a seat: George...

Andrew Bynum Confirms Taking Half-Court Shots During Cavs Scrimmage

You can always count on Bynum to be honest, even if it isn’t politically correct. He doesn’t lie about the things that are said about him. It was reported that the last straw in Cleveland was Bynum taking half court shots during a scrimmage and Bynum confirms that story to the Indianapolis Star. Bynum raged against the shoot-first guards. During a practice, Bynum said that he...

Paul George, Pacers Flex Muscles; Other Impressions From Celtics’ Loss

BOSTON — Not so long ago, Paul George would have walked away from a game like this smiling from ear to ear. George scored 25 points, hauled in eight rebounds and swiped three steals, as well as hit the game-turning 3-pointer in the fourth quarter of the Indiana Pacers’ 102-97 win over the Boston Celtics on Saturday. Owing to his development into a superstar, however, he expected...

Andrew Bynum to Indianapolis, “I want to play”

The Luol Deng era in Cleveland will last longer than the Andrew Bynum era ever did, but that’s not saying much. Bynum was traded to Chicago for Deng and subsequently cut. A tale of two three's, a negated three by Rondo, a made three by George

The NBA can come down to one play that changes the momentum of the entire game. Saturday night was no different for Boston. With the game knotted at 90 apiece in the 4th quarter between the Celtics and Pacers. The Celtics had issues getting a play going against the best defensive team in the NBA. With 4:39 in the 4th quarter, the Pacers defense forced Rondo to take a deep three as...

Pacers outlast Celtics

A coach in Frank Vogel's position can talk all he wants about embracing a new acquisition, hailing that player for the real (and invented) benefits his presence affords the team. It's the salesman role every NBA coach plays after a trade or free agent signing. It's talk. But it becomes something entirely different when a coach will throw that player into an unfamiliar...

Indiana Pacers: Roy Hibbert’s Bed is Massive

Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert is a bohemoth sized human being. Hibbert stands 7-feet 2-inches tall and weights 290 pounds, making everyday tasks just a little bit harder. Take finding a bed for example. If Hibbert had to sleep on some random bed made for the averaged size man, half his body would be hanging off the end of the bed. It just wouldn’t work. The only thing harder...
