Byron Mullens could return for the Charlotte Bobcats' upcoming five-game road trip, according to Bobcats beat writer Rick Bonnell. The road trip begins Monday at Chicago, so it's conceivable he could be activated for that game. Mullens has been sidelined since December 22 with an ankle sprain. In 27 games, Mullens averaged a respectable 11.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.37 3-pointers, 1.5 assists, .8 steals and .8 blocks in 31 minutes. The threes are a big bonus from the big man. His weakness is shooting (37.1 FG%, 70.9 FT%). He's 16-percent owned in Yahoo. Keep an eye on his return. Photo via Mullens' Facebook page.

Charlotte Bobcats or Charlotte Hornets?

So it has come to this. The Charlotte Hornets. Would adopting “Hornets,” the [...]

Will the Hornets return to Charlotte? Now that the New Orleans Hornets have officially announced that they will be changing their name to the New Orleans Pelicans, (State bird or not, I’m still scratching my head at that one) the Charlotte Bobcats have wasted no time gauging fans interest in changing their name back to the Charlotte Hornets. Dignity FAIL

On the one hand, the Bobcats just lost by double-digits to a team that was down three starters and a Sixth Man of the Year candidate. On the other hand…ah, screw it, there is no other hand. This analysis will be one-handed. It killed Richard Kimble’s wife and drums for Def Leppard. Or actually, maybe [...]

You should Mull-ens picking up Byron.

When we last left our hero Byron Mullens the Joker had tied him up and left him hanging upside down to fall to his death into a pit of hot oil. Of course, the idiot Joker and his henchman all left the scene before confirming Byron actually fell into the hot oil which I never really understood. I mean how many times are you going to catch Byron Mullens, tie him up, leave him in peril...
