Celtics forward Kevin Garnett got under Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony‘s skin last week when he allegedly said something about Anthony’s wife. According to unconfirmed reports, Garnett said Anthony’s wife, La La, tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios. This obviously got Anthony heated, and it might not be why you might think. Anthony’s rage may actually be rooted in his hunger, given what he’s been up to for the last couple of weeks. Anthony revealed that he’s been fasting for about 15 days, which may explain why he was so grouchy. And for Garnett to mention food in the middle of a game? That’s like adding gasoline to the fire. “I usually do it to get some clarity in my life and spiritual reasons,” Anthony said when talking about the fast, according to ZagsBlog.com. However, the fasting session is done, and it’s back to you know, actually eating now for Anthony. “It’s a long story man,” he said, according to the website. “I haven’t had a good meal in about two and a half weeks. Carmelo Anthony celebrated the release of his signature sneakers, the Jordan Melo M9′s, in NYC on Sunday night with his teammates and it wouldn’t be a party without Melo 5, a wardrobe change, and performances by Fabolous and French Montana:

Carmelo Anthony Has No Regard For The Knicks Or Their Fans

This is weird. And I know if I were a Knicks fan or part of the organization, I’d be pissed. Apparently Carmelo Anthony has been fasting the last 15 days or so. Dude wasn’t eating complete meals. Isn’t he a paid athlete, where conditioning and body preservation are part of his job. Talk about silly and irresponsible. “I usually do it to get some clarity in my life and spiritual...

Carmelo Anthony ends 15 day fast

New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony revealed this week that he has just completed a 15-day fast. That is right, the guy that is averaging 32.3 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 4.3 assists per game during January has been going without most food during that period. Apparently this is a yearly ritual for Melo. According to the NY Daily News: It’s just...

Even Carmelo Anthony's fans are now getting clowned by Celtics

Would be funnier if it was the real Carmelo Anthony, but it's pretty wild nonetheless. If you don't speak Twitter, basically a Knicks fan by the name of Matthew Shin, aka @Melo4MVP, put out a tweet saying if if Knicks fans retweeted it 2000 times he'd smack Jeff Green in the face at the next Celtics/Knicks game. Jeff Green responded (as he often does to people who say...

Knicks boss may want to hear what's said to Melo

Listen up! Talk trash to Carmelo Anthony at Madison Square Garden and you may wind up on tape. Days after Anthony's overreaction to some bad words led to an NBA suspension, MSG chairman James Dolan had listening devices monitoring everything said to and by Anthony, according to a report in the Newark Star-Ledger. The report Monday said Dolan had two MSG Network audio technicians...

Anthony ends fast, scores 27 points in Knicks' victory

NEW YORK -- The New York Knicks recovered from yet another slow start, while Carmelo Anthony provided a surprising explanation for his own struggles in the first quarter in the past two games, saying he's been fasting for about 15 days. Anthony shrugged off a poor first quarter with a stellar second while the Knicks upped their defensive intensity and went on to a 100-87 victory...

Kevin Garnett: The most well rounded player in NBA history

Kevin Garnett is on the precipice on joining a very exclusive club. A club so exclusive in fact, that when he joins it, he will be it's only member. With 32 more assists, Garnett will pass Sleepy Floyd for 50th on the NBA's all-time assist leader board (5,144). This is important, because Garnett already ranks in the top 50 in rebounds (12th - 13,566), points (17th - 24...

New York Knicks Hired a Gothic Guy to Tape Carmelo Anthony On-Court

New York Knicks owner James Dolan is one crazy guy.  After Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett got in their heated on court argument, Anthony waited for Garnett at the team bus trying to straiten things out. Apparently Garnett said his wife La La “tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.”  The verbal fight resulted in technical fouls against each player, and a suspension for Carmelo for...

Knicks Owner James Dolan Using MSG Employees To Spy On Carmelo Anthony

For reasons only he can explain — but probably wouldn’t, at least not without an act of Congress — Jim Dolan made a few MSG Network employees perform a surreptitious duty during the Knicks’ game against Chicago on Friday night. Two audio technicians were stationed at two corners of the court — one a few feet just behind the Knicks bench, the other diagonally opposite ...

The New York Post has photos of one of the technicians holding the small dish-shaped gadget at Sunday's game against the New Orleans Hornets. The Knicks little Spygate has been cracked according...

Good enough: Boston Celtics beat Charlotte Bobcats 100-89

The Celtics don’t blow bad teams away.We know this by now. It has been the case since 2008 when the Hawks inexplicably took the Celtics to seven games in the first round of the playoffs. For whatever reason, whether it be motivation or something else, Boston just doesn’t blow out very many teams. Instead, they grind things out, lose a few games that they shouldn’t lose, and...
