Fox Sports Southwest:
The talk of the NBA world this week has been the monster Blake Griffin dunk from Monday night's game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
But until Wednesday, the man with the greatest "poster" dunk of all time had yet to chime in... until now.
"I thought it was amazing," Dallas Mavericks guard Vince Carter told The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "That just shows the true athlete that he is."
Amazing... that's about as good as it gets coming from a man once called "Half Man, Half Amazing."
And Carter knows a thing or two about throwing down hard over someone. Carter famously dunked over 7-2 Frenchman Frederic Weis during the 2000 Olympics.
When it comes to authority, Carter threw down much harder than Griffin did, leaving some to criticize Griffin's dunk over Kendrick Perkins, including his teammate Kevin Durant.
"I have no appreciation for it at all," Durant said Wednesday morning. "I really wasn't impressed.
"He finished it, so what? We've moved on."
