Grant has his eye on Teddy G's record
The state of Ohio is rich with talent for the football class of 2011 and one player who is on everybody’s recruiting radar is CB/WR Doran Grant of St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron. While Lebron James made the Irish a famous brand on the hardwood, Grant is trying to give the school a name on the gridiron and is having great success doing so.
At 5-11/180, Grant is built well for the cornerback position where he is receiving interest from some of the nation’s best. In addition to his offer from Ohio State, Doran’s list includes scholarships from USC, Miami, Michigan, Michiga State, West Virginia, LSU, Penn State, and others. He tallied 40 tackles, one interception, and two blocked kicks on defense during his junior season and racked up around 700 yards and seven touchdowns at receiver for the Irish this past season. He has been clocked at 4.37 in the 40-yard dash and claims to have a 40-inch vertical to go with it.
