MILWAUKEE (AP) --The Cleveland Cavaliers had a plan and worked it to perfection. Dion Waiters scored 18 points, and the Cavaliers snapped a six-game losing streak with a 94-82 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. Cavaliers coach Byron Scott knew he had to slow down Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis. Cleveland shut down Jennings, but Ellis shredded the defense and scored a season-high 37 points. "With that backcourt and the type of the firepower they have, you have to slow one of them down," Scott said. "We kept Jennings in check pretty much the whole night. That was a big time key." Jennings was 3 of 13 from the floor. Ellis was 15 of 27. Cleveland had all five starters score in double figures, which offset Ellis' performance. C.J. Miles added 16 points, and Kyrie Irving had 15 for the Cavaliers, playing without starting center Anderson Varejao for the third straight game because of a bruised right knee. Tristan Thompson had 14 points and 14 reb...

Jennings: I nearly fought Rondo

Brandon Jennings said that he and Rajon Rondo probably would have fought during Friday's game if not for the prospect of being fined.

Brandon Jennings Wanted to Fight Rajon Rondo in Bucks’ Win Over Celtics Friday, But Didn’t Want to Incur Fine

Brandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo likely won’t be exchanging Christmas presents anytime soon, but they were exchanging unpleasentries on Friday night, which almost led to a fight. The Bucks’ point guard said he almost fought Rondo, but had second thoughts because of the fines he would incur. Rondo bumped Jennings during the first quarter, and the two had some words. “It was...

Celtics-Bucks Live: Rajon Rondo Looks to Even Score Against Brandon Jennings, Milwaukee

8 a.m. ET: The Celtics have just about had enough of the Milwaukee Bucks. The pesky Bucks and their lightning-fast backcourt of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis have caused all sorts of problems for the Celtics this season. The Bucks (13-11) have won two of three meetings already against the C’s (13-12), and they had a run of five wins in six games before they fell to the Grizzlies...

Kyrie Irving Toasts Monta Ellis, Dishes To Tyler Zeller (VIDEO)

Kyrie Irving had a relatively quiet game as the Cavaliers cruised past the Bucks on Saturday evening.  With just 15 points, Irving was the Cavs’ third-leading scorer in a 94-82 victory.  He attempted only 12 shots [insert Kobe joke here] — the second fewest he’s taken all season — and his four dimes left him about 14 cents short of his average.  For the most part, Kyrie...

Bucks blow lead, but prevail in OT against Celtics

BOSTON -- Somehow, the Bucks escaped with a win over the Celtics Friday night. They were playing with a pair of banged-up guards. They turned the ball over 23 times. They missed 14 free throws. After trailing by 10 in the first half, they failed to hold a seven-point lead in the final 40 seconds. And they even blew a four-point lead with 1:10 left in overtime. But they won 99...

Box Score: Cavs 94, Bucks 82

On their fourth game in five nights, the Cavs stopped a few streaks.. First and foremost, they snapped their six game losing streak. In addition, they beat Milwaukee for the first time in ten tries and they stopped their 17-game losing streak to the Central Division. They earned it. It was a complete game. For the second night in a row, all five Cavaliers starters scored in double...

Comments from the Other Side - Bucks 12/21

The Bucks did what they had to to win but I'm convinced after watching this again that many of the missed shots were due to fouls not being called on the Bucks. Yes there were open misses but there were also 3 KG layups that missed because he was hacked on the arm. The officials were terrible and it culminated in Jeff Green bleeding on the floor while play went on and the Bucks...

Bucks 99, Celtics 94, OT

BOSTON -- The Milwaukee Bucks blew a five-point lead in the final 29 seconds of regulation but regrouped in time to escape with a 99-94 overtime win over the Celtics Friday night. It was the Bucks' second win in as many tries in Boston this season and Milwaukee went 3-1 against Boston in the season series that is already over. Jumpers by Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (5-for...

Recap: Insult to injury

I don’t know where to start, so I’m just going to get to the point: other than Paul Pierce, the C’s basically could not hit a shot to save their lives for most of the 2nd half and OT. Monta Ellis and the Bucks hung-around all evening and finish the C’s off 99-94 in OT. The Bucks even tried to give the game back to Boston by blowing a 7 point lead with under a minute left...
