Fox Sports Ohio:
The Atlantic Division-leading New York Knicks haven't managed to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road in over six years, and Carmelo Anthony hasn't been much help, either.
The possible return of Kyrie Irving may keep it that way Monday night when Anthony and the Knicks make their first of two visits this season.
New York (35-21) has won four of the last six meetings with Cleveland (20-39), but all of those victories have come at home. The Knicks have been held to an average of 93.0 points while dropping 10 in a row at Quicken Loans Arena since last winning there Nov. 29, 2006.
Anthony hasn't been much of a factor in three visits with the Knicks, averaging 18.0 points on 38.8 percent shooting there compared to 22.0 while shooting 50.0 percent in playing three of the four home wins. He sat out New York's 103-102 home win on Dec. 15 due to a sprained left ankle and had only 12 points on 5 for 13 shooting in a 98-90 defeat in the most recent game in Cleveland on Apri...
BEST OF MAXIM
Carmelo Anthony went down against the Cleveland Cavaliers with an injury to his right knee that he says has origins that date back to before the game. Melo told ESPN that he knew today would not be a good da. “Today I just woke up and you know how some days you really don’t feel right,” [...]

Good news from Cavalier-land this afternoon: All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving practiced with his Cleveland teammates today and is hopeful to play in Monday night’s home game against the New York Knicks.
Various media outlets have reported on this news and the Cavaliers also appear to have sent out an injury update on the status of the soon-to-be-21-year-old. Irving has been out...
Carmelo Anthony‘s knee injury is being treated carefully but optimistically ever since the Knicks forward left Monday’s game after stumbling to the floor in the second quarter. For now, the team is holding out hope that Anthony simply tweaked his right knee during the win over the Cavaliers. Their best-case scenario is that he will be back on the court soon.
If he is not, the...
Everyone saw it coming. The players and coaches of the Cleveland Cavaliers congregated at halftime of Monday night’s contest against the New York Knicks, having amassed a 22-point lead only to let it slowly slip away before the mid-way buzzer provided some relief. Having watched plenty of tape and read all of the glowing features with their opponent as the subject, everyoone...
Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points, J.R. Smith added 18 and the New York Knicks overcame a 22-point deficit without All-Star Carmelo Anthony to beat the Cavaliers 102-97 on Monday night, ending a 10-game losing streak in Cleveland.
Steve Novak made three of New York's seven 3-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Knicks rallied and shook off a tough home loss on Sunday, when...

Mike Woodson was "stubborn" & did not listen
The New York Knicks may be without Carmelo Anthony on Wednesday night. If their reserves can repeat their latest performance and Amare Stoudemire can continue his efficient scoring, it may not matter against the hapless Detroit Pistons.
New York will be going for its second straight season sweep of Detroit - having taken the first three meetings by an average of 16.7 points - and...

It’s now officially been 39 days since Chris Grant’s latest act of wizardry, rounding out an actually complete bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers thanks to the help of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Over these 39 days, the narrative has changed drastically for the 2012-13 Cavs season: Instead of a distraught and meaningless season ruined by Anderson Varejao’s injury, the youngins are...
