CLEVELAND (AP) -- LeBron James watched from the bench in street clothes as Norris Cole stripped Kyrie Irving of the ball with 2.2 seconds left to give the Miami Heat, resting most of their top players for the playoffs, a 96-95 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. Cole finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. But it was his only steal on Cleveland's final possession that sealed it. James was disappointed to not play in another homecoming game against his former team, but he appreciated coach Erik Spoelstra's desire to get the NBA champions as healthy and refreshed as possible heading into the postseason. Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers joined James on the bench while Dwyane Wade, Shane Battier and Udonis Haslem stayed back in Miami with minor injuries.

Let’s Slow Down On The LeBron James, Michael Jordan Comparisons

Past versus Present Before we begin let me just point out that LeBron James himself, didn’t ask for this comparison.  It’s not his fault.  Some might say he “asked” for it when he donned #23 and said he wanted to be just like Michael Jordan when he first entered the league (I’m looking at you Skip Bayless).  But if you grew up and was a NBA fan throughout the 90’s...

LeBron calls Kobe's season-ending injury 'sad'

LeBron James' longest string of missed games in his NBA career was five straight, and that was because of a finger injury more than five years ago. He knows he's fortunate in that regard. So he cannot really relate to what Kobe Bryant is dealing with now that the Los Angeles Lakers star's season is over with a torn Achilles that required surgery and is expected to keep...

LeBron humbled at 4-time MVP status

LeBron James says he's humbled to keep the company he will join by winning the NBA's Most Valuable Player award for a fourth time. A formal announcement is planned Sunday, the eve of the Eastern Conference semifinals for the Miami Heat. The honor will vault James into an elite category shared by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain, the...

Savannah Brinson’s Bachelorette Party With Male Stripper & LeBron Panties (Photos)

Marriage is like a team dealing with a star player, who happens to get in trouble a lot on and off the field.  You have to ask yourself does the talent, outweigh the headache. No, different from women who marry athlete and entertainers.  There is a very high upside, but you know you have to deal with a downside.  The question is how much you can take. There is a difference between...

Game time: 1 p.m. TV: ABC With the Big 3 back and the league's best record clinched - as well as the winningest season in franchise history - the Miami Heat don't have much left to do other than tune up for the playoffs. The Miami Heat Will Have Their Own Playoff Champagne

Because having LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on their team isn’t enough incentive for obscenely rich Miami Heat fans to get to their courtside seats on time, they’ll now be greeted with a spiffy white goblet of Moët Ice Impérial, the official champagne of Miami’s 2012-13 playoff run. Okay, we’re being a little harsh. After all, Miami fans were voted the #1 most...

Heat top Bulls, set home win franchise record

MIAMI (AP) -- LeBron James scored 24 points, Dwyane Wade added 22 and the Miami Heat set a franchise record for home wins in a season, topping the Chicago Bulls 105-93 on Sunday. Miami held Chicago without a 2-point basket for the first 16 minutes...

Heat-Cavaliers Preview

The Miami Heat have done everything they needed to do to claim home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, set single-season franchise records and can even scout their first-round opponent, the Milwaukee Bucks. The last thing they need to do is stay healthy for their final two games, so a makeshift lineup is likely Monday night when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers. Miami&...
