With all of us looking forward to just seeing some Celtics basketball, the Summer League roster is officially released. I'm personally excited to see how well Fab Melo has progressed, and draftee Kelly Olynyk, as well as Maine Red Claw Omar Reed.  It will be a brief, but much needed, break from all that has happened this offseason. Celtics will open the Orlando Summer League against the Magic on July 7th at 11am. The team will be coached by Celtics assistant Jay Larranaga. Via Celtics.com: Celtics 2013 Draft Picks Kelly Olynyk and Colton Iverson will join Celtics 2012 Draft Pick Fab Melo as members of the Celtics entrant to the 2013 Orlando Pro Summer League. They are joined on the roster by NBA veterans Nolan Smith and Darius Johnson-Odom; 2013 NBA D-League Rookie of the Year Tony Mitchell; undrafted free agents Phil Pressey and Omar Reed and five players that played in Europe last season in Tim Abromaitis, Courtney Fells, Jayson Granger, Lawrence Hill and Eli Holman. The Celtics’ first game in the Summer League will be Sunday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. ET when they take on the Orlando Magic. The Celtics’ five-game schedule in Orlando continues with match-ups against the Detroit Pistons on July 8 at 3:00 p.m. ET, the Indiana Pacers on July 9 at 11:00 a.m. ET, the Houston Rockets on July 10 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The final game is TBD on Friday July 12 and will be determined by a new format for the Orlando Pro Summer League this season. Under the new format, each team will play five games over the six-day event, with a championship day being played on the final day of the league. A point system will establish the standings leading up to the final day, with seven points awarded each game based on: three points for winning the game and one point for winning a quarter (in the event of a tied quarter, each team will receive 0.5 points). In the event of ties in seeding heading into championship day, three tiebreakers will be in place: 1) total point differential; 2) total points allowed; 3) coin flip.  NUM PLAYER POS HT WT FROM 58 Tim Abromaitis F 6-8 236 Notre Dame/ASVEL (France) 52 Courtney Fells F 6-6 200 NC State/Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel) 40 Jayson Granger G 6-2 192 Asefa Estudiantes (Spain) 63 Lawrence Hill F 6-8 235 Stanford/Hapoel Holon (Israel) 60 Eli Holman F/C 6-10 260 Detroit/Hapoel Eilat (Israel) 37 Colton Iverson F/C 7-0 255 Colorado State 38 Darius Johnson-Odom G 6-2 215 Marquette/Spartak St. Petersburg (Russia) 13 Fab Melo C 7-0 255 Syracuse/Boston Celtics (NBA) 57 Tony Mitchell F 6-6 216 Alabama/Ft.
