Does Rondo Need His Own Coach?

The first thing that was mentioned right after the Celtics named Brad Stevens their new coach was whether or not he could handle the mercurial Rajon Rondo. Rondo had just mentioned in an interview that he loved playing for Doc and wanted to play for him. Then Doc went to LA and suddenly, Rondo had a new coach and no one knew how he would react. Forcing records is Celtics blasphemy! Or not

Before Rajon Rondo’s season (and for all intents and purposes, the Celtics season) abruptly ended during a Friday night game in Atlanta in late January, much of the discussion around him centered on his over-hyped assist streak.  Remember, the one that saw him continually dish out double-digit assists in consecutive games challenging legendary point guards Magic Johnson and John...

98.5 The Sports Hub could carry Celtics games, even though they never talk NBA

Most people tune in to listen to these idiots argue the same point from 2-5. They should probably just get Sirius. Other than the great Toucher and Rich show, there isn't a whole lot of NBA talk going on on Boston's number one sports radio station. The station's apparent lack of interest in the sport apparently won't stop them from carrying the Celtics games themselves...

Ever since Danny Ainge rightfully gutted Boston’s roster, many fans...

Celtics Could Benefit From NBA Luxury Tax Loophole in Long-Term Future

Just how bad the Celtics will be this season is subject to debate. The good news for their fans, however, is that the team might not need to remain in a state of mediocrity for very long. Immediately after the deal was disclosed to send Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to Brooklyn, the knee-jerk reaction was that the Celtics would absolutely stink in 2013-14. Jeff Green...

What the Hell Happened To, is usually all about perseverance.  Unheralded guys going the extra mile to make the mighty Boston Celtics.  This week's player, Eric Fernsten, epitomized that.  His entire career, he never quite felt safe enough about his job but it was always like that for him.  It was that way since he began playing basketball seriously the summer before his...

The new CBA may not be so bad for the Celtics

One of the reasons for the lockout in 2011 was that the small market teams wanted to make sure the big market teams wouldn't have a stranglehold on all the talent with the money they can offer, taxes be damned. To combat this, language was put in place where teams that are over the luxury tax for a certain number of years in a row or were tax payers for a number of years within...
