After their meeting with the Knicks on Sunday, things don't get any easier for the Celtics. They are still on the road and facing the Heat in their home opener. The Heat are coming off a blow out win over the defending champion Mavericks. With the news that Pierce hasn't run full court yet, I don't expect him to play and it could be brutal watching Sasha trying to keep up with LeBron. In the game versus the Knicks, he was matched up with Carmelo Anthony who scored 37 points while Sasha didn't take a single shot. Pietrus could help, but he isn't expected to join the team until Friday. Even at full strength, the Celtics would have their hands full with the Heat, but short handed, it could be a very long night.

From the GreenLab: Examining Boston's Final Plays in Loss to Knicks
The Celtics lost their season opener at MSG to the Knicks by just two points. The final play was a missed KG jumper as he was moving, which is not a typical shot for him. Still, they were able to execute a 27-point turnaround, coming from down 17 points to take a 10 point lead early in the fourth quarter. Carmelo Anthony drilled a three to tie the game with roughly 3 minutes...
Making the case for Rajon Rondo as a franchise player
We keep hearing rumors that Rajon Rondo is on the trade block — it had been for Chris Paul but the Celtics will listen to other offers, too. They are not going to move him for just anyone, but he’s not the easiest player to get along with and Boston is keeping its options open.…
Recap: Hornets take a steamy dump all over the Cs
The Celtics were out-played, out-muscled and out-hustled tonight by the New Orleans Hornets.
With this being the 3rd road game in 4 nights, I expected the Celtics to play lethargic and sloppy. But I did not expect them to be dominated.
It's terrifying to think we may see more efforts like this one. I'm not prepared to jump to any conclusions about the season, but I...
