The Celtics fortunes have gone down hill considerably since the trade that sent Perk and Nate Robinson to the Thunder for Nenad Krstic and Jeff Green. In the meantime, the Thunder are on the top of the Western Conference and just 1/2 game behind the Bulls for the best record in the league. Perk slimmed down and is healthy and playing very well for the Thunder while Krstic is playing in Europe and Jeff Green is out for the season after heart surgery. Even though Perk was crushed when he learned that he was traded, he couldn't have gone to a better team. The Thunder is a young team with great chemistry. That bring...

Ricky Davis has a warm spot in his heart for the Boston Celtics

The city of Boston, Massachusetts has never been the easiest city to call home for professional athletes. Between the expectations set by fans, the media, and the professional sports organizations they play for, there is a high level of pressure for athletes to perform well when the word “Boston” is stitched onto the front of [...]

Lurking around Celtics Nation: Today’s (1-16-12) Storylines…

Your Morning Dump... Where it's KG's fault

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. And that, in a nutshell, is the story behind the 2011-12 Celtics. Garnett, the linchpin of one of the best defensive teams in NBA history over the past four seasons, can't get off the ground, and it&...

Taking Stock: C's-Pacers

After every game, we'll take stock of how each individual performance affects the player's overall value. Starters Paul Pierce:  The 21 points were great, the 6 turnovers were not, neither was the 5-12 shooting.  But he was drawing fouls and he he was producing more than he has been.  On a back-to-back night, there's something to be said for that. Rajon Rondo...

This is It, Celtics Fans

Something to think about today before tonight’s game: February 16th, 2011. That was the last time Kendrick Perkins played a basketball game in Boston. Coincidently (or maybe not), that was the last time the Boston Celtics actually looked like the Boston Celtics. Now, exactly 11 months to the day that Perkins played his last game [...]

Massachusetts' Maria Menounos Tebows Her Golden Globes? Unacceptable

Listen Maria Menounos, your Boston Celtics fandom has been proven but no self-respecting person from Medford (MA) can justify her actions at the Golden Globes. Showing up in a dress that is more akin to the Broncos' orange than anything from New England, Menounos (who is totally hot of course) took time on the red carpet to Tebow. The **** is that Maria? That's unacceptable...
