The Boston Celtics had it going on against the Sixers on Saturday night.
Boston shot 53 percent from the field and held Philadelphia to just 39 percent shooting on the Celtics way to a 92-79 victory. Kevin Garnett led all Celtics scorers with 19 points, while Jeff Green chipped in 16 more off the bench. The Sixers could not come up with an answer to the Celtics’ overall team effort as four Boston players recorded double-digit scoring nights.
Doc Rivers was pleased with his team’s performance after the game and explained why in his postgame press conference. To hear what he had to say check out the video above.

Kevin Garnett took to his Weibo account (Chinese Twitter) to show off the latest colorway of the Anta KG3. In my opinion this is the best colorway to be released. What are your thought on the Navy/Silver KG3.
After much ado was made last night about Kevin Garnett not grabbing a single rebound in 23 minutes of play, he playfully went on a rant in front of reporters.
"You know what, I’m looking for the statistician around here. And when I find out what he looks like, we might have some problems," joked Garnett. "I had a rebound in the first quarter. That’s bull---...
Following the Boston Celtics 92-79 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, Kevin Garnett was upset that his rebound streak, that began in 1997, was snapped. When asked about the last time he didn’t get a rebound by a reporter following the game Garnett responded, “I’m looking for the statistician around here. When I find out what he looks like, we might have some problems...
After a 19 point, 0 rebound performance in a win over the Sixers, Kevin Garnett swore, literally, that there was something wrong with the person taking stats. Garnett has only had 4 games out of 1,274 in his career where he has been rebound-less. He swears he had one in the first quarter as he explicitly calls out the statistician, jokingly claiming it was “f****ing bulls...

Kevin Garnett doesn’t always need to grab rebounds for the Celtics to win. They beat the Sixers 92-79 even though their center didn’t snatch a single rebound. It was the first time since 1997 that happened. Paul Pierce contributed with nine assists and Jeff Green had 16 points off the bench. How can you not love Kevin Garnett. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he actually reviewed the footage for that rebound he claims he had in the first quarter. Box score says otherwise.
It's time for the best Tweets from Tommy Heinsohn during the rematch with the Sixers and Tommy was on his game tonight! As Jeff Green was called for traveling, Tommy was counting his steps and Mike wasn't too thrilled with his counting skills.
Green called for traveling. Counting steps: "One-two! One-two!" Mike: "I don't want you counting my change...
Jeff Green’s suddenly Mr. Consistent Offense; Kevin Garnett had zero rebounds but still managed to be awesome by shooting 9-11 for 19 points in just 23 minutes (the last stat = the most awesome); Jared Sullinger had nine rebounds in 22 minutes; Rajon Rondo continues to fill up the stat sheet; and Boston’s defense has been revived from the dead ever since Rondo wrassled with Kris...
The Boston Celtics continue to struggle in the middle of the Eastern Conference.
A recent series of missteps by temperamental point guard Rajon Rondo has done nothing to elevate their cause.
In their 95-94 overtime loss to Philadelphia on Friday, Rondo flubbed what should have been a game-winning scenario.

The Boston Celtics came out firing on all cylinders tonight and never looked back. C’s beat the Sixers 92-79 at TD Garden. The Celtics were definitely all business tonight after losing a real tough one in Philly on Friday. Boston’s smothering defense held Philly to just 28 first-half points. It was the usual suspects as KG (19), Truth (13) and Bass (10) all scored in double-figures...
The Celtics bounced back after a heartbreaking one point loss in OT in Philly last night to dominate this game from start to finish. The Sixers never led in this game and the Celtics led by as many as 21 points. The Sixers made a run in the third quarter to cut the 20 point half time lead to 8, but the Celtics responded and went on a 7-0 run of their own to hold the Sixers off...

A lot of complaining about the refs but they let a lot go on both sides. They called it pretty much even. I loved the comment wondering if the Celtics had Go Go Gadget arms. They did seem to be hustling to all the loose balls. Now if only the Celtics can find their consistency and do this on a regular basis. Enjoy today's comments. I've highlighted my favorites...
