One team’s trash is another team’s treasure in the NBA. After losing out in the numbers game due to the Mike Bibby signing, guard Carlos Arroyo moved up the Eastern Conference standings finding a home with the Boston Celtics.

Arroyo will fit right in with the Celtics as they currently lack a true backup point guard. Problem is he will not be in Milwaukee when the Celtics, and their 9 active players, take on the Bucks tonight.

Arroyo has been signed to the a prorated veterans minimum contract, for the remainder of the season, and will practice with the team on Tuesday in hopes of suiting up for the first time Wednesday when the Blake Show comes to the TD Banknorth Garden.

On the season, the 6’2″ guard has appeared in 49 games averaging 5.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2 assists per game

To make room for Arroyo, the Celtics did not resign forward Chris Johnson to a second 10 day contract.
