Chris Forsberg of ESPN Boston has reported that the Celtics have made their final decision on which other big to sign: The answer is Shavlik. I was expecting that we'd take a shot at a taller prospect like Jerome Jordan, yet we have apparently decided to bring in a 6'10'' guy. I have previously stated this about him based on scout reports and career stats: "Shavlik Randolph is 29 and 6-10, and to my surprise he has NBA experience: He's played for the 76ers, the Heat and the Trail Blazers. He's like Amundson: Great rebounder but a turnover machine. He's a decent passer, and has some post moves." Forsberg provides some more insight: Randolph spent the start of this season with the Foshan Long Lions and will be the third player signed out of the Chinese Basketball League by the Celtics in the past 10 days.
