Found July 12, 2012 on Celtics Life:
The Celtics are no longer undefeated in the Summer League as the Detroit Pistons really dominated a good majority of this game to win 93-79. Kris Joseph continued to impress in the Celtics loss, scoring 17 point and grabbing 11 rebounds, as the Celtics pulled within single digits in the fourth but could never complete the comeback. JaJuan Johnson had his best scoring game of the Summer League so far, matching Joseph's 17. What do you think of the Celtics Summer League players so far? Voice your opinion here. Trying not to overreact to Kris Joseph’s summer league performance

This is only summer league This is only summer league This is only summer league I’m trying to remind myself of something that I know all too well.  This is only summer league, and every summer league has a “breakout” player that never makes it in the league.  But I can’t help but enjoy what I’m seeing out of Kris Joseph. Joseph stood out again today.  Despite early...

The Boston Celtics cruised to a 94-73 victory over the Orlando Magic to conclude their stay in the Orlando Pro Summer League Friday morning. With Jared Sullinger given the day off to rest, Dionte Christmas exploded for 19 points in the first half, while E’Twaun Moore impressed once again, chipping in 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting.According to A. Sherrod Blakely, however, Moore...

Boston Celtics summer league observations, Day 4: My bromance with Kris Joseph only grows

Crushes don’t always happen at first sight. Sometimes you know a girl for years, and you think she’s really cute, but she has a boyfriend so you stay in the friend zone and don’t let yourself think anything else might happen. You hang out with her as friends, not doing girly things like shopping, but going out for drinks once in a while, simply a platonic thing. She’s funny...

Should JaJuan Johnson play Small Forward instead?

WEEI Johnson attempted only five shots in their opener on Monday and he was more aggressive from the outset in their second game, knocking down a pair of outside shots. But the Celtics need to know A) if he can hold up against bigger opponents and B) what his natural position truly is in the NBA. Johnson is too sleight to handle the physical pounding inside, but he is skilled and...

Highlight video: Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, & Kris Joseph - Welcome to Boston mix

It's only 3 days into the 2012 NBA Summer League, and thus far we have seen some promising moments from the Boston Celtics rookies, Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, and Kris Joseph. The above video is a highlight mix welcoming the draftees to Boston, featuring their best plays in their Celtics summer league jerseys against OKC, the Nets, and the Pacers, as well as some college footage...

Jonathan Gibson leads C’s to Summer League win… wait who?

The Celtics were scuffling along in typical summer league fashion.  They were down by 17 to the Brooklyn Nets… … until undrafted rookie Jonathan Gibson took over. Gibson dropped 17 points off the bench and led the Celtics to a 30-14 fourth quarter and 82-73 Celtics win.  Gibson is a 6’1″ guard out of New Mexico State with little chance of making the Celtics roster, but...

as Celtics dominate final Orlando Game

Summer league part one is over for the Celtics, and the story of this game is Dionte Christmas. He dominated the first half of this game as the Celtics built a huge lead… waxing the Orlando Magic by 21.  Christmas, who will not be playing for the Celtics in Las Vegas, wowed us with an array of jumpers and drives dropping 21 points on 7-14 shooting (3-7 3pt). E’Twaun Moore bounced...

Post your thoughts on the Celtics Summer League performance

I haven't been able to watch all the games myself, so I don't feel that comfortable posting evaluations on all of the players. But from what I've seen so far I've been impressed by a few guys. I'd predicted that Jared Sullinger would be a rotation player for the Celtics in his rookie season and his play this week only reinforces that prediction. He's a baller...

Boston Celtics Summer League observations, Day 2: The rise of Jonathan Gibson

Somebody named Jonathan Gibson, who played his college ball at “I need to Google Jonathan Gibson really quickly because I have no idea where” University, scored 15 fourth-quarter points on Tuesday as the Boston Celtics overcame a 17-point deficit to edge the Brooklyn Nets at the Orlando Summer League. Almost as importantly, Adam Morrison still exists, and he now looks like...

Sully Carrying Summer League C's On His Back, Knock Off Pacers

Scoring 16 and ripping 8 boards, Sully has been the main option for the Summer League C's and its working! Jared did have 5 turnovers though, but had 2 blocks. Dionte Christmas has been consistent as well scoring another 10 points with 5 assists 3 steals and 4 rebounds. E'Twaun Moore has been impressive as well as he continues to show he can do a lot, but will need to...

No Magic At The Amway Center, It Was Christmas For The C's However

Boston Celtics 94-73 Orlando Magic [FULL BOX] Arguably the Summer League C's most consistent player, Dionte Christmas helped the team glide by the Magic scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists along with 3 steals. But he did it efficiently as well going 7-14, 3-7 from deep, 4-4 from charity and only 1 turnover in just under 21 minutes on the floor. Moore also got...

Your Morning Dump… Where the pressure doesn’t bother E’Twaun

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.  The 24-year-old guard is rather unflappable. It’s maybe his strongest trait, even beyond his shooting prowess and evolving point guard skills. This is a monster summer for him, and he seems purposely oblivious...
