Interesting piece of news today regarding the Celtics and a few NBA free agents. According to Adrian Wojnarowski’s Twitter, the Celtics have recently held workouts for Adam Morrison, Rashad McCants, Cuttino Mobley, and Trenton Hassell:
Some intriguing names on that list. I assumed we already had too many players under contract in the first place, but I like what Danny is doing here. All four players would be low risk moves. I have always been a big McCants fan. I watched every game he played at UNC and the talent is there. After reading Chris Palmer’s article a few months ago, it sounds like he still needs some attitude adjustment, but is well-deserving of another chance.
Morrison fell off quick. I never thought he was the next Larry Bird, but he couldn’t even manage being a role player in the NBA. It’s doubtful he will ever live up to the expectations, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t contribute to a team like the Celtics. Hassell could ...
