PLAYA VISTA, Calif. Clippers point guard Chris Paul says hes going to be fine, but coach Vinny Del Negro probably will take a cautious approach in dealing with the left knee injury Paul sustained Saturday night.
Paul banged his knee into Keith Bogans of the Brooklyn Nets while setting a screen during the Clippers 101-95 victory at Staples Center. His knee was wrapped in ice, but he returned later and scored 29 points, including 17 in the fourth period.
I should be all right, Paul said after practice Monday. I hope so.
The Clippers play four road games in five nights beginning Tuesday in Dallas.
Paul didnt participate in practice, and Del Negro said he and guard Chauncey Billups, who missed the past two games with a strained groin, will be game-time decisions.
Asked about Pauls availability, Del Negro said, I think hell be able to play. Is he going to play and have a setback? How effective is he going to be? I know hes pretty sore today. If he doesnt play tomorrow night, hopefu...
