Fox Sports West:
The Clippers are not the only team pursuing free-agent center Darko Milicic.
Apparently the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets all have interest too.
Milicics agent, Marc Cornstein, said Wednesday that the Clippers are a team we have spoken to.
Cornstein knows that the Clippers only have the veteran minimum of about 1.229 million to offer Milicic.
But Cornstein said that money would be somewhat less of a factor in Milicic's decision on where he will play next because he still will be paid for the last two years of his contract -- worth a total of 10.898 million -- after the Minnesota Timberwolves used the amnesty provision on the 7-footer.
Playing time, team situation will be crucial factors, Cornstein said. Because Darko was amnestied, he and I both agree that its a crucial year for him.
The Clippers also have a strong interest in center Ryan Hollins, who also would be paid the veteran minimum of 1.065 million.

Darko Milicic was waived by the Wolves using the amnesty provision.
Celtics Center Ryan Hollins has drawn interest in Free Agency from New Orleans. Likely a minimum salary contract candidate, Hollins joined the Celtics during the season and provided decent defense and above average athleticism in stretches. He is wildly inconsistent and one of the worst rebounding 7-Footers in league history, but he did earn some important playoff minutes for a...
The Clippers and free-agent center Ryan Hollins agreed to a one-year deal on Thursday.
Hollins is expected to sign a one-year contract for the veteran minimum of 1.065 million.
Ryan is happy to be a Clipper, Hollins agent, Todd Ramasar, said. Hes happy to be back in L.A. and hes looking forward to helping the Clippers.
Hollins, a seven-foot center who attended UCLA, played for...
Editor’s note: This piece is written by Tom Westerholm, one of Celtics Town’s new interns who are all plotting to take over the NBA world. He also writes for HowlinTwolf.com and HoopsAddict.com, and he clearly isn’t very fond of the disturbing thought that Darko Milicic might actually be on the Celtics’ radar. Darko Milicic is a bust. He is not a productive player in the least bit. He will generally hurt you when he is on the floor.
Those are all obvious statements.
But here he is about to enter his 10th year in the NBA. It is a career which has made him about $50 million dollars to do virtually nothing for five different teams. And soon, he will play for a sixth.
MINNEAPOLIS Walk into the Target Center for any Minnesota Lynx game, and it's not hard to see this is an NBA arena.
The upper bowl gives it away. So do the color scheme and the amenities, the locker rooms that are harder to find, up a small staircase from the main tunnel. But really, it's masked well. This is the Timberwolves' home for the majority of the year, but...
If you had to buy the most worthless jersey ever what would you buy? I’d have to believe that this Rashad McCants Minnesota Timberwolves jersey would have to be near or at the top of the list.
So what about Rashad McCants do I think would be relevant for you to know? He is the cousin of San Diego Padres OF Cameron Maybin (who’s been a turd for my fantasy team this year), his...
Now that the Portland Trail Blazers will likely match Nicolas Batum’s offer sheet, the Minnesota Timberwolves should have enough money to sign Greg Stiemsma. And the Wolves reportedly believe they will. (ESPN 1050)The Wolves expect to get restricted free agent center Greg Stiemsma. Boston is over the cap, so the Wolves feel like they will be able to structure the contract in...
