Los Angeles Clippers
It has become clear that the Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies have a strong dislike for each other.
So don't be surprised if Monday night's game in Memphis is played so intensely that it's almost like Game 9 of their first-round playoff series last season.
"I'm sure it will be," Clippers guard Chris Paul said.
The Clippers and Grizzlies played an exciting, physical, trash-talking series that the Clippers won against considerable odds on the road in Game 7.
Then the teams opened the regular season Oct. 31 at Staples Center and it was another bruising, trash-talking, intense game that played out like an extension of the previous spring's playoff series.
Blake Griffin and Memphis' Zach Randolph picked up technical fouls during the season opener, which the Clippers won. Fifty-two personal fouls were called.
"It's going to be an intense game because the teams don't like each other," Clippers forward Matt Barnes said. "They are ...

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Clippers point guard Chris Paul has a contusion in his right kneecap and will not play Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum.

Chris Paul did not play for the Clippers on Tuesday night in Houston. The Clippers still won.
This bears repeating.
For a second consecutive night, Paul spent the game on the bench because of a bruised right kneecap. But his team didn't miss a beat, pulling away from the Houston Rockets with a big third quarter in a 117-109 win at Toyota Center.
Unbelievable, right? In truth...

Paul bumped knees with J.J. Reddick on Saturday with 54 seconds left in a 104-101 loss to Orlando. Eric Bledsoe will start for Paul. The Clippers said Monday the guard will be listed day-to-day.
Paul leads the NBA with 386 assists and is second averaging 9.7 assists...
CBSSports.com: Chris Paul is held as the gold standard in this league when it comes to the point guard position. His work ethic, skill, the way he’s so proficient at everything. But even then, I really believe Kyrie has a chance to be the best point guard in the league in the next, really, four to five years. Do you agree?
Byron Scott: I think it is. I think one thing that he...

The Clips play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, so CP3 owners will have to hope he's back in time for them.
The Clippers will once again...
Last night Chris Paul sat out with a swollen knee and will probably miss tonight game, as well. If you’re interested please feel to grab Eric Bledsoe as a streamer everywhere. All he did last night in Paul’s stead was drop 14/3/4 with 2 steals in 28 minutes as the Clips blew out Memphis. Assuming the game is more competitive tonight I’d expect Eric to be closer to 35 minutes...
Chris Paul must have taken Vinny Del Negro’s place as head coach during the game.
HOUSTON -- While Chris Paul is unquestionably an MVP candidate, Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford continues to state his case for an All-Star Game selection despite not having started one game this season. The Clippers performed exceptionally without Paul for a second consecutive game, taking their cue from Crawford en route to a 117-109 victory over the Houston Rockets...
Every morning, we will give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: No Paul, No Problem
The Clippers were without Chris Paul after he bruised his knee late in Saturday's game against the Magic. For a deep team like Los Angeles, it could fill someone in and make it all work. Paul is still very much the straw that stirs the drink for the Clippers...
HOUSTON -- While Chris Paul is unquestionably an MVP candidate, the Los Angeles Clippers performed exceptionally without him for a second consecutive night, rolling past the Houston Rockets 117-109 Tuesday at Toyota Center. Reserve guard Jamal Crawford poured in 30 points in just 28 minutes as the Clippers (30-9) matched the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder in victories...
MEMPHIS – The last time the Los Angeles Clippers were seen in the FedExForum, they broke hearts last April by winning the seventh game of a Western Conference first-round playoff series over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Griz ran out of gas in that game. On Monday, though, in the same place against the same team, the Grizzlies were merely dead on arrival in their worst home performance...
Matt Barnes may be coming off the bench for the Los Angeles Clippers, but he's posting big numbers.
In Monday night's 99-73 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Barnes led the Clips with 16 points (6-11 FG and 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two steals and two three-pointers.

The matchup between two of the best teams in the West wasn't close much of the way. While Paul watched from the bench, the Grizzlies were without their leading...

Let’s take a look at some of my favorite ensembles from last week. Thunder star Russell Westbrook was giving his best Martin Lawrence “You so Crazy” look, [...]
