MVN:
Thanks to N.W.A. for the title of this post, and thanks to coach Tim Floyd for what he is doing for USC basketball. Coach Floyd is obviously committed to his goal of turning the Trojans in to a perpetual contender deep into March. Floyd recently got the #2 recruit in the nation, Demar DeRozan from Compton high, to commit to the program. DeRozan, a 6-7, 200 pound guard is praised for athleticism, coordination, strength, and size; not to mention his beautiful shot. Jerry Meyers at Rivals.com said that there really aren't any parts of DeRozan's game that require serious work, yet he comes to USC with a vast potential to improve. And Floyd definitely deserves credit for him coming. DeRozan recently said to AllHipHop.com that his decision to come to USC was "a no-brainer with coach Floyd doing such a great job last year."
Joining him in what Hoopscoop.com ranked as the 8th best recruiting class in the nation is Percy Miller, better known as rapper Romeo. Listed as one of the top 15 point guards in the country, Romeo played his ball at Beverly Hills High, and said that he hopes to fill the position that is going to be left by O.J. Mayo, seeing as it's basically a given that barring injury Mayo is entering the NBA draft after this season.
PS Thanks to Tribune reader Mike, who pointed out a terrific link to a video of Demar over at tackle.com
