Found December 22, 2012 on Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
The Bucks did what they had to to win but I'm convinced after watching this again that many of the missed shots were due to fouls not being called on the Bucks. Yes there were open misses but there were also 3 KG layups that missed because he was hacked on the arm. The officials were terrible and it culminated in Jeff Green bleeding on the floor while play went on and the Bucks got free throws. Most of the Bucks fans know that they got a gift. The Celtics just need to shake this one off and go on. On another topic, I've never seen a fan base hate one of their own players as much as Bucks fans hate Monta Ellis.   Here are today's comments from the other side... I'm expecting a loss, but I think Boston can be had. Obviously we've beaten them twice this year, although the 2nd time was with out Rondo. And really should've beaten the the other time too. Also for down the road, a win here would give the Bucks a tiebreaker with Boston for seeding/playoff berth. Boston appears to be in the mix of mediocre Eastern Conference teams. Bucks are gonna get this one. Monta will bounce back. He'll have Jason Terry on him for most of the night. Be nice to close the year out with 5 consecutive losses, watch Skiles get canned, and Ellis and Gooden packaged for an expiring pile of garbage... I am seriously ready to give up on this team for good if we don't do something - anything to give us a chance at a bright future. Watching the Bucks is like watching the team who plays the Globetrotters - they make a basket here and there but zero stars, 0 dunks, no flashy plays, and trash rotations. How many times has a team finished playing another team 4 times before Christmas? That couldn't have happened more than once or twice if at all. I'm amazed Collins is still in the league let alone starting. I hope Ellis severely tweaks his back. I don't understand double teaming someone shooting a 2 and leaving someone wide open on the 3 point line Especially Paul pierce We might in fact not be getting out coached, but it sure feels like it KG looks terrible Only Rondo would give up taking a wide open layup so he pad his assists. Sullinger will never be a good NBA player. Yes he will, he will learn well from Jason Collins Monta Ellis D in a nutshell there. He's matched up against an ancient SF all the way out at the three point line and the guy **** blows by him for the monster dunk. What a useless sack of **** Where the D go? Pierce is having his way I'd take a conditional 2nd for the guy (the condition being that Monta doesn't die on the flight to his new team). **** Rondo's a punk. I still don't get the green for Perkins trade on Boston's side 3 years later Get Ersan out Sully just man handle him Illy vs Sully, not a fair fight Green vs Dunleavy not a fair fight That's some ticky tac **** refs. My eyes are going to get permanently stuck "eye roll" position watching our offense Collins, 'I got 6 fouls to use, and I'm going to use them all' true Celtic scrub big man Let's foul out the whole Celtics team If that move by Pierce was legal, that was really a good step under The bucks are playing like generic bread Very stale generic bread! We have Epke and Ersan under the basket and they both get out rebounded by Lee. Can the Celtics just put us away for once? Mbah a Moute is really a hustler. Wish he could shoot That was Jennings pretending that anyone respects his jumper. And pretending that he knows how to pass. The only solution with a guy like Monta is to never play the scrub. Dunleavy and Marquis cant hit a shot and Pierce is lighting both of them up at the same time. Why do we even shoot free throws? Celts should seriously just hack Luc. It's amazing that there isn't a "me" or "I" somewhere in Monta. His initials are ME Continuation? Nice job, Stern refs. The refs really haven't been bad at all. My note: 20 FT's for Bucks and 8 for Celtics at this point Monta would be so much better if he just eliminated any type of jumper in his game. I think you mean he'd be so much better if he played in China. These Boston announcers are hilarioud Super strong Boston accents “Ilya-soh-ver” Marquis comes right in and start sucking Luc comes out and Pierce can shoot again?? Monta honestly has no brain He can make a free throw, at least. Damnit, Sullinger has 5 fouls now. Jeff Green is unstoppable. 24 FT attempts already for MIL What is our season high? Paul Pierce attacks the basket and screams crazy loud=auto foul We like to call that an "oral flop" Ellis just made a jumper. Maybe this apocalypse thing is really happening. Oh great Monta hold the ball till 3 seconds left and pass it to Luc. You **** idiot. Skiles is the tank commander Keep shooting KG No Monta no problems. Turn him into soylent green. Jason Terry is the Monta Ellis of the Celtics. Jason Terry has looked awful every time I've seen him this season. How did Rondo get the board? Damn LOL at inserting Monta. Die in a grease fire, Skiles. The Celtics are just chucking jumpers The last 3 was all luck.. They haven’t hit anything all quarter Damn KG got postered Brandon owns rondo now Both players have been invisible. Jennings is so unclutch Rivers is the best in the league when it comes to executing a play out of a time out. Skiles is one of the worst. Closing time - Paul Pierce gets all the girls Sdujcdhbsdbjsdvbkdjasvbkjdvbjsdbkavfbjkdbvdsjfbdvdkvsdvksjbaskdbjvdfjksb THATS HOW I FEEL!!! Monta has Jason terry on him and he's pullin up for jumpers Rondo is everywhere Bill Russell, I mean Larry 15pts/20reb Larry suddenly and consistently owning Garnett is one of the most satisfying developments in Bucks basketball in the last decade. This Boston commentator sounds like drunk peter griffin Ersan taking eyes for a rebound? That's our boy!! "glad" it was the elbow, I was slightly more frightened given Green's heart issues RIP Jeff Green's face. When I said it was vintage Ersan, I meant the tip and not the assassination, but obviously applies to both. Get the f*** away from him garnett he's injured!! ERSAN THE FACE BREAKER. Ersan got away with one there. Ersan breaks another face. Awesome. Celtics broadcast calling out the referees for giving the Bucks extra shots all night. The Celtics announcers are horrible!!! They are saying the refs are giving the Bucks everything and the Celtics ain't getting nothing. They want a foul for that elbow... If only it was Garnett who copped that elbow The Celtics announcers are only ironic because the Celtics are notorious for getting away with hard fouls non-stop. Now the announcers want a flagrant on Ersan. Only people who ***** more than the Celtics is their commentators, my god... Ersan probably will get a flagrant from the league office. We caught a break there, let's not pretend we didn't. The Celtics are kinda like the Bears Hall of Famers playing a bit past their prime. I wish every team had KG on their team every night. For Larry's statline's sake. Larry Sanders completely owning Kevin Garnett was pretty much fantastic. Jason Terry could possibly be the worst defender in the NBA. And even with that, Ellis couldn't go to his left when Garnett would come to help, and he chucks up his jumpers. Boston should be calling us about the availability of Daly, They suck inside I do have to give some props to Monta. It can't be easy being an NBA player after being lobotomized. Boston is old. We are much younger and more athletic. Has shown itself in all four games. So, who else hopes the Bucks match up with the Celtics in the playoffs? How its even possible? Boston will barely make the playoffs.. it's always great to beat the complainers. I don't know if I could handle supporting a team as entitled and douchey as Boston. [Discuss on CG Forums!]

Your Morning Dump… Where Jeff Green has chipped teeth and a bruised cheek

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Celtics forward Jeff Green sustained a bruised left cheek and chipped multiple teeth after absorbing a stray elbow from Milwaukee’s Ersan Ilyasova in the final moments of overtime in the Bucks’ 99-94 triumph...

Video: Full highlights of Pierce's 40 point night

Paul Pierce was on fire last night vs. the Cavs. He shot 13/16 from the field and 6/7 from behind the arc. This means his eFG% was a remarkable 100% And for kicks he was also a perfect 8/8 from the line. That's pretty much the equivalent of a perfect game. Pierce wasn't just satisfied putting up big scoring numbers. He also finished with 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals...

Pierce's 35 Points Not Enough as Celtics Fall to Bucks 99-94 in OT

From a basketball purist point of view, this game was very ugly. No one on the Celtics could hit the broad side of a barn except Paul Pierce. In fairness, some of the shots were missed due to being hacked or bumped and no fouls were called. The Celtics 3 times had leads of 10 points and gave every one up as the result of sloppy and passive play and the inability to hit a shot...

Wilcox happy for team despite DNP; Green possibly not as much

Doc Rivers has changed his rotations this week. Two players impacted have been Chris Wilcox and Jeff Green. Wilcox registered a DNP last night as Doc gave Jason Collins the starting center role. Doc seems to have listened to me and has started using Green almost exclusively as the backup small forward the past two games. For one reason or another Green can not defend 4's and...

Celtics looking to stop three-game snide

With the Boston Celtics mired in a three-game losing streak, 35-year-old Paul Pierce decided to take matters into his own hands. The All-Star forward will try to build off his historic effort and lead the Celtics to their sixth straight home win on Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Pierce turned back the clock with a season-high 40 points on Wednesday in a 103-91 home win...

Paul Pierce Is Celtics’ Lone Bright Spot as Team Goes Cold Shooting (Video)

As NESN Daily‘s Jamison Coyle points out, if the Milwaukee Bucks played the Celtics 82 times, they’d be NBA champions. Fortunately for Boston that’s not how the league works. The Bucks definitely have the Celtics’ number, however, beating them for the third time on the season Friday. Paul Pierce was the lone bright spot for Boston, going for 35 points in the overtime loss...

Mannix wants Bradley/Green for Pau Gasol deal

Here’s part of my afternoon Twitter exchange with Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix. I’m intrigued by this deal. Pau Gasol would be a huge help to Kevin Garnett, the Celtics jump shot centric offense and (lack of ) rebounding. I’d hate to give up a decade of Avery Bradley for 3 years of Gasol. And a move like this is extremely short-sighted. But I really believe Gasol could...

Bucks prevail over Celtics in OT

Monta Ellis scored five of his 27 points in overtime and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Boston Celtics 99-94 Friday night in the teams' final meeting this season. Milwaukee prevailed despite blowing a seven-point lead late in regulation. The Bucks won for the sixth time in eight games, taking three of four against the Celtics, who had a five-game home winning streak snapped despite...

BOSTON -- The Milwaukee Bucks blew a five-point lead in the final 29 seconds of regulation but regrouped in time to escape with a 99-94 overtime win over the Celtics Friday night. It was the Bucks' second win in as many tries in Boston this season and Milwaukee went 3-1 against Boston in the season series that is already over. Milwaukee Bucks 99, Boston Celtics 94: Postgame Analysis

Photo by AP Despite a 35-point performance by Paul Pierce, the Milwaukee Bucks close out the season series against Doc Rivers’ team with a  99-94 victory in overtime. There are many head scratches in the loss so let’s get right to it. Inconsistency in many facets: If you can’t pinpoint what the struggles are with the green team you aren’t alone. Celtics (13-13) record entails...

Jason Terry Takes Dig At Ray Allen

Two months after his 35th birthday, Celtics captain Paul Pierce scored 40 points on 16 shots in Wednesday night’s 103-91 victory against the Cavaliers. It took a superhuman effort, as his three most veteran teammates can attest. Maybe that’s why Jason Terry called him Kryptonite in the locker room afterwards. “Not a lot of guys in this league stay in one franchise,” said...

Cavaliers beat Bucks 94-82

MILWAUKEE (AP) --The Cleveland Cavaliers had a plan and worked it to perfection. Dion Waiters scored 18 points, and the Cavaliers snapped a six-game losing streak with a 94-82 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. Cavaliers coach Byron Scott knew he had to slow down Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis. Cleveland shut down Jennings, but Ellis shredded the defense and scored...
