Found May 05, 2012 on Celtics Life:
The Celtics should have won that game in a blow out in regulation but they played just bad enough to let the Hawks hang around the entire game.  I don't understand all the hate for Joe Johnson from Hawks fans.  He kept them in it and was the reason it wasn't a blow out.  I don't think the last comment is quite true.  It isn't that the Celtics aren't that good.  It's that they aren't playing that good.  They are shooting terribly and missing wide open shots.  Maybe it's fatigue.  But I have to feel that they are going to put it together in one of these games and show that they are that good.   Enjoy today's comments.  The Hawks without Josh Smith and Al Horford/Zaza will be worse than the Dwightless Magic. The Celtics will not have ANY difficulty in dispatching this team tonight This team can't even spell championship, and Smoove has probably played his last game in a Hawks uniform. JJ is not a leader. He has no emotions, and he takes NOOOO...

Avery Bradley, Ray Allen will play tonight

Twitter / @SherrodbCSN: #CelticsTalk: #Celtics Ave ... via kwout We'll have to see how the shoulder injury affects his game, but Avery Bradley will give it a go tonight.  Though he'll be limited.  Ray Allen is also in, which is a nice surprise because I would have bet he'd be out after playing 37 minutes in Game 3. Josh Smith, as he's been saying, is also...

Avery Bradley, Josh Smith in; Ray Allen back for second straight game

BOSTON — For the second straight game, all 15 Boston Celtics are available. The Celtics weren’t sure Avery Bradley (shoulder) would play until 65 minutes prior to tipoff, but team doctors who watched the guard shoot jump shots gave him the go-ahead. “He’s going to go. We’re just going to see how it feels and [...]

Ray Allen Showing No Signs Of Rust With Strong First Half Against Hawks

Ray Allen quickly put to rest any doubts about his ability to be effective. Despite missing over three weeks with a right ankle injury, Allen entered at the 4:40 mark in the first quarter against Atlanta and quickly got to work, making two jump shots in the opening period. Prior to the game, Doc Rivers noted that Friday night's game would Allen's first time playing full court...

Recap: Celtics crush the Hawks spirit

Now that was fun. The Celtics demolished the Hawks for 48 minutes tonight and took a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. I don't know where to begin. The Celtics dominated from the start. The lead was 13 after one, 23 at the half and 37 in the 3rd quarter. They dominated every phase of the game. Rajon Rondo (20 points, 8-11 FG, 16 assists, 3 steals, 1 TO) and Paul Pierce ...

Game 3: Celtics/Hawks postgame interviews

Recap: Wretched Celtics edge horrible Hawks in OT

In what may have been the worst playoff game in league history, the Celtics beat the Hawks 90-84 in overtime. The C's have won ugly all season long. But nothing, I repeat, nothing compared to this game. We were treated to spectacularly bad turnovers and horrific defensive lapses, the likes of which haven't been seen since the mid 2000s. Rajon Rondo (17 points, 14 rebounds...

Allen Returns For Game 3, Scores 13 Points

Ray Allen returned for Game 3 after missing almost a month due to an ankle injury.

Celtics 90, Hawks 84: All wins counts the same, thankfully

I’m still not sure exactly how an 11-point lead dissolved into a tie game in less than three milliseconds, but only a cruel god would have subjected us to five extra minutes of that sludge. Thankfully, the Celtics prevailed in overtime against an Atlanta Hawks team that brought a lot of effort if not a lot of talented players healthy enough to compete. For all the interesting...

Ticket Prices in Series Between Celtics, Hawks Nearly Double for Games in Boston

The Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks play two completely different styles of basketball. The differences between the teams continue among their fan bases. The two clubs have quite the disparity between them when it comes to prices of tickets on the secondary market. Celtics fans have had to pay a lot more to see the Green play at TD Garden than Hawks fans have to pay to see their...

Veteran Celtics have found a winning formula

BOSTON Celtics forward Kevin Garnett likes to think building a championship basketball team is kind of like baking a cake. First you take your ingredients your well-known standbys, as well as a few bold new flavors and you mix them together. What you initially get doesn't look like much, and it isn't something that's ready to serve, but if you sneak a taste and you...
