At Thursday’s Boston Celtics vs Chicago Bulls game Craig Sager mailed in a “C” effort. For most people wearing an electric blue suit would be an A+ effort but not Sager. This is like try to get by with only wearing 8 pieces of flair at TGI Friday’s. Sure there is no rule saying how many pieces of flair you have to wear, but do you really want to get by doing just the bare minimum? Kids everywhere are looking to you to set fashion trends Sager. Let’s hope that this week you rock a disco ball suit with an alligator tie and fuchsia pocket square.

Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has been suspended for two games after throwing the basketball at a referee during Sunday night's game against the Pistons.
In a season that’s been primarily devoid of positives, the Boston Globe offered NBA fans one today. Kevin Garnett, an NBA extrovert, has often displayed opposite characteristics in his private life. Often bleeped out during post game interviews [2008 championship interview, bar fights, all come to mind], Garnett has always kept his personal life private, [...]
The Celtics will play with Rajon Rondo on Wednesday for the second straight game as the point guard continues to serve his two-game suspension for throwing a ball at a referee. The act was seen as juvenile by everybody -- well, almost everybody -- and prompted the question: Does Rondo possess the maturity necessary to become a leader on this team? Things went from bad to worse for the Celtics on Sunday. Not only did the C's drop their third straight to the lowly Pistons, but Rajon Rondo was ejected for throwing the ball at referee Sean Wright following a no-call. It wasn't an extremely forceful throw, and you could argue that a foul should have been called on the play, during which Rondo got leveled on his way to the...
Kobe Bryant has asked Lakers management to make a decision on Pau Gasol’s future. If they decide to trade him, Derrick Rose reportedly would welcome him on the Bulls.
Spanish news outlet Marca first reported that Rose would want Gasol in Chicago, saying he thinks Gasol would be able to return to his old form. Sheridan Hoops confirmed that report, saying Rose has told the Bulls...
I understand why the NBA felt compelled to punish Rajon Rondo after his latest incident in Detroit. He did, after all, throw a basketball at a referee. But we’re not talking about a Nolan Ryan 100-MPH heater here. We’re talking about a slow-pitch softball Eephus knuckler that wasn’t even aimed at the ref’s head, but rather at his stomach. Don’t misunderstand me. I’m...
With the rare gap between Boston Celtics games, in this compressed NBA season, I took a chance to go to bed early – or so I thought… As my doze tried to give way to a solid state of REM sleep, I fell into a dream about New York Knicks basketball. I can hear the [...]

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose started against the Atlanta Hawks.
