Kanter has produced wildly productive numbers in his limited playing time —6.4 points (54% FG) and 4.1 rebounds in 14 minutes – but with Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap and Derrick Favors all remaining in the picture his freedom will remain on hold, at least for a short while. Examples of his dynamic potential: in his lone career start on December 7th he finished with 18 points and eight rebounds in 34 minutes; on February 6th he posted 17 points (7/9 FG), nine rebounds and five blocks in 17 minutes; on 2/23 he put up 15 points (6/7 FG) in 17 minutes.
