Finally, the Dallas Mavericks are looking like the Dallas Mavericks and their leader, Dirk Nowitzki, is looking like Dirk should look. He and his team are looking like the winners we envisioned them to be this season. It has been a rough and patchy start to this season, but in Denver, the Mavericks are looking like the championship team they are.
Dallas came out acting like gangbusters in the first quarter, which over the course of the season, they have succeeded at doing that and winning the first quarter, which tonight was no different; Dallas led at the end of the first quarter 33-25 and even took an additional lead at the halftime 64-53 and at one point in the first half was shooting over 50% from the field. But the first half has not been Dallas’ problems as of late, it’s been halftime and what comes after halftime which is the second half of the game.
Too bad you can’t call a game in the first half, Dallas would probably be in the top 5% of teams in the leagu...
