TEAMS: Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors
Brandon Jennings, seeker of max contract, has shown flashes of brilliance in his young career. He set the league on fire scoring a Bucks rookie record 55 points in a game against Golden State. He can be a top point guard in the league when he plays within himself but too often he becomes Jennings the chucker instead of Jennings the creator. Despite his flaws, the Mavericks are reportedly showing interest in the guard whose contract is set to expire this season:
Mavs, I’m told, do have interest in Brandon Jennings and will be in mix for him if Bucks opt to make RFA-to-be available b4 Feb. 21 deadline
— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) February 13, 2013
This move shows the Mavs are serious about finding a franchise point guard, which can happen when you are relying on Mike James to run the show late in games.
