When the name Kyrylo Fesenko comes up it doesn’t exactly bring to mind any MVP awards or All-Star appearances, at least this season, but he is a young 7’1 center with a plethora of raw talent. Fesenko can also provide depth, and a big body down low to fill a void left by last year’s center Tyson Chandler. Especially in a shortened season, stacked with many back to backs and even a few back-to-back-to-backs in their schedule, the Mavericks, and any other team, could use a young big man to shore up their roster. It was reported earlier this week that Fesenko had signed a one year deal with the Golden State Warrior worth just under $1.1 million, but both sides mutually decided to cancel these plans when Fesenko decided that he would need an extra week or two to get into shape after undergoing knee surgery in September.
