Daniel Booby Gibson returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight after missing games due to a infection of the soft tissue in his neck in time to help his Cavaliers down the L.A. Clippers. Gibson became a solid contributor tonight in what turn out to be a very physical game. The Cavaliers needed all the help they could get tonight with Kyrie Irving being held out with a head injury. The Cavaliers didn’t reveal Irving s concussion until moments before tonight’s game.
The L.A. Clippers came to Cleveland tonight expecting to leave with a win. Both teams were battling with seconds to go in the fourth, the Cavaliers led 94-92 with 16.4 seconds left in the game. The Cavs had the ball when Gibson was fouled and sent to the line missing the first free throw and hitting the second to lead 95-92 with 16.4 left in the contest.
