The Denver Nuggets will take on the rest of the 2013 season and beyond without one of their star players.
Danilo Gallinari, an all-around small forward, will miss the remainder of the 2012-13 season with a torn ACL, according to the Nuggets. Gallinari injured his left knee in Friday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
The 24-year-old has averaged 16.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 71 games this season. The Nuggets (52-24) sit four games behind the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder for the top spot in the Western Conference.
