I spent the latter half of yesterday trying to hitch-hike to Danny Ainge’s house so I could hand-deliver a bouquet of roses and kiss him on his pretty little feet. Not really, but you can imagine what it would have been like if I did.

Ainge had a creatively awesome offseason, rebuilding Boston’s bench (damn near from scratch, people!) while establishing a youthful identity that’s being overshadowed by the presence of the New-Age Big Three but still fucking rocks.

The wizard (even though he spent $36 million on a backup small forward, which actually could look like a good deal one day) told CSNNE he’s content with the current Boston Celtics roster but still won’t close the door on further acquisitions prior to opening night.

“I’m always looking for ways to improve the team,” Ainge told CSNNE.com. “I like our team; I like our guys. But I’m always looking. You’re never going to hear me say, ‘I’m done.’ Because you never know what may open up down the road or in the near future.”

Ainge added, “I’m not desperately looking (to add players). It’s going to be tough to find players I want more than the players I have. But I’ll always keep an eye on what’s out there, for sure.”

“Like I said, I’m always going to keep an eye on what’s out there,” said Ainge. “If there’s nothing out there that I like, that’s Okay. Because I’m happy with where we are right now.”

I don’t count sheep before bed anymore. Instead, I softly chant to myself, “Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger…” until I meet a peaceful sleep.
