Danny Ainge won't draft a big just for the sake of size

The Celtics need a big man. I know, I know. That is some groundbreaking, earth-shattering stuff right there. It's hard for me to wrap my head around as well. Trust me, you're not alone. But in all seriousness, that is probably the biggest need for the Celtics heading into the offseason, or whatever offseason the CBA and the fight over money between millionaires and billionaires will allow. At this point, it looks like the Celtics will head into next season with Nenad Krstic and maybe—I stress, maybe—Jermaine O'Neal for "centers." That's it. Boston needs a young, defensive-minded big probably more than anything else. Kind of like that guy in Oklahoma City. He would look great in a Celtics uniform.
