PLAYERS: Danny Green
TEAMS: San Antonio Spurs
SAN ANTONIO - By now everyone knows the story of San Antonio Spurs' Danny Green’s ascent from virtual nobody, to record holder for most 3-pointers made in an NBA Finals series. And even though most players would be satisfied with their role on a championship caliber team, and newly acquired NBA Finals record, Green is the opposite.   Job security in the NBA is extremely dependent on the ability and desire to continuously improve your game. And that’s what the 26-year-old Green has done this offseason. “Worked on everything. I assume that teams will probably try to make me do something different than shoot from behind the arch so I have to knock down a pull-up, finish at the rim and in the paint with floaters and different kinds of things,” said Green. Green’s offensive game has been slightly one-dimensional since coming onto the NBA scene. Though Green made 43.3% of his shots from downtown during the 2012-13 regular season, he also took 418 attempts from beyond the arch, (just slightly over five attempted three’s a game) while only attempting 169 shots in the paint. At some teams learn how to effectively defend against that. (Example: NBA Finals Games 6 and 7 when Green went 2-13 from long range)   Via Vorped, Danny Green’s problem area was around the free throw extended region on the right wing. And looking at his playoff shot chart, his struggles inside the arch were even more prevalent. But with his new offseason regimen, adding the ability to dribble and pull up, or drive to the basket consistently will make teams respect more than just his deadly three-point shooting.   So what do you think Spurs fans? Is there anything specific on what Green should add or continue to improve with his game?

Belinelli seeks role as Ginobili Jr.

How you feel about Marco Belinelli will likely depend on how you feel about Manu Ginobili. Make no mistake — Belinelli is no Ginobili. Rather he’s a watered-down version of the aging yet still-potent dynamo the Spurs had no doubts about re-signing even after a wildly inconsistent Finals. Considering Ginobili at 36 is a watered-down version of his own best self that isn’t...
