Coming into their game at FedEx Forum Friday night, the Pacers had not yet lost two games in a row this season. That statistic came to an end in Memphis. MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger went into Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a higher scoring average (18.3 ppg) than recently named Eastern Conference All-Stars Luol Deng (Chicago, 16.0) and Andre Iguodala (Philadelphia, 13.0) and only percentage points lower than Atlanta's Joe Johnson (18.6) and Boston's Paul Pierce (18.4).

There have been times these past few years when I wanted to give Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert a hug. It would have required a stepladder -- even if he was sitting down -- but after rough games, he was so moribund, so terribly down on himself, you felt like offering a warm embrace and saying, "Hey, big fella, it's gonna be OK.''

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- It's that time of year. The games blur together. Legs feel like rubber. Bodies constantly ache. The Indiana Pacers, like most of the other 29 teams in the NBA, are beat up physically due to the schedule.
