Jocks and Stiletto Jill:
The question all season for the Chicago Bulls. Even throughout the first round of the playoffs has been will Derrick Rose return. Now comes word per Yahoo Sports that sources close to Rose say he wonât return this season, period. The Bulls fought through seven games against the Brooklyn Nets to make it to round two. Even with injuries, the Bulls came together. Whether it was Joakim Noah playing on one good leg or Nate Robinson throwing up into a bucket during game six everyone played a role.
If heâs not returning â and Iâm on the side that he shouldnât â It makes sense that the Bulls/Drose get that information out there. Coming back now might disrupt the chemistry that the current team has developed. And how many times can you keep asking the Bulls players if they think heâll be back? Plus, do you really want DRose shaking off a yearâs worth of rust on LeBron James and the Miami Heat?
For what itâs worth, when Rose was asked about the possibility of playing on Saturday:
âWho knows?â Rose told reporters hours on Saturday. âItâs still up in the air.â

Derrick Rose refuses to pull the plug on returning to the Bulls this season, and as his team advances to face the Miami Heat in the second round, the question of whether the former MVP will be on the floor with his banged up team will only keep coming. Rose knows that answer but refuses to confirm it, according to a Yahoo! Sports report by Adrian Wojnarowski:
âWho knows?â Rose...
At the risk of being struck down Iâm going to question the mental toughness of Chicago Bullsâ star Derrick Rose.
There are unwritten rules in sports: You donât talk about a perfect while one is being pitched, you donât hit a man below the belt without apologizing vehemently, never bet on a team from the Northwest in a big game, and donât question a player that says they...
The drama surrounding Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rosecontinues, as the latest report â courtesy of TNT â is that one of the things that continue to keep the All-Star off the court is a lack of muscle memory.TNT sideline reporter Rachel Nichols said that Rose told her off-camera a few days ago that while he wants to return to the court, he doesnât have his muscle memory...
Derrick Rose will spend Game 1 of the Bullsâ second-round playoff series doing the same thing he has done every game this season: Not playing.
Beyond Game 1, though, Rose is not ruling out a return to the court. He has not played since tearing the anterior-cruciate ligament in his left knee in the first game of last yearâs playoffs, but he told ESPN.com on Monday that âI mightâ...
The Chicago Bulls havenât provided a definitive answer when asked if point guard Derrick Rose is done playing for the remainder of the season. Rose continued the vague discussion and continued to give Bulls fans hope of his return, as he told reporters -- including Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago -- that his status for the teamâs second-round series against the Miami Heat is âstill...
Bulls big man Joakim Noah is growing tired of all the criticism directed at teammate Derrick Rose for not returning to the court yet, saying everyone needs to "shut up."
Despite everyone around the NBA believing he will not return this season, Derrick Rose said on Monday that he still could return at some point in the Chicago Bulls' second round series against the Miami Heat.
"Still up in the air. I might have a chance," Rose said.
Rose has been scrimmaging 5-on-5 since Feb. 18 and has been medically cleared to play for two months...
TNT's Rachel Nichols reported Thursday that Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose told her that muscle memory is holding him back from returning to the court from ACL surgery., http://juicedsportsblog.com/sports-news/news/report-muscle-memory-delaying-rose-return
The thing about this Derrick Rose situation with the Chicago Bulls has been why not just announce him out for the season? Rose obviously isnât mentally where he needs to be to return to the court, despite being medically cleared months ago. So I have always wondered, why not just announce him out for the [...]
The Chicago Bulls wonât have Loul Deng, Derrick Rose and possibly Kirk Hinrich in the lineup for Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal against the Miami Heat on Monday, but Rose said his status is âstill up in the air. I might have a chance.âÂ
It's always fun to see the Miami bandwagon fans melt down after a loss.  It's so funny to see them complain about the officiating when they get the benefit of the calls 99.9% of the time. In a game where the opponent took just 4 free throws more than them, they are certain that the game was fixed.  They are used to getting all the calls and when a crew calls is...

Game one between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat was in a word, shocking. Miami is the defending NBA champions who have rolled through the regular season and the first round of the playoffs. Chicago has been solid all season without superstar PG Derrick Rose, but they are now missing Luol Deng, who is probably their second best player, and Kirk Hinrich...
