Bryant: Trade speculation has made Pau Gasol emotional
Underneath the positive energy surrounding the Lakers' 111-99 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Friday night stood one frustrated player.

This is a good move...however it should be Deng traded for Gasol straight up. Deng will cost the Bulls to much money on his next contract. Even though he is a solid player...he is not an elite player. Management will have to pay him like an elite player. You will have to many young guys that make up the core of the team and who you will have to pay or essentially lose them. This puts Deng(so he does not expose the Bulls defensive strategy) in another conference as well as helps you to keep CJ as an underrated back up. The Bulls should then trade Noah and Boozer/Gasol and future draft picks to Orlando for Dwight Howard. This would put Noah back in Florida. This new team would add longevity to Derrick Rose's carreer because he would not have to work as hard. Trading for Gasol alone won't change much...Rose will still be over worked. Instead the Bulls would have two legit tested seven footers who are defensive minded. In fact they would have the best Defensive player, Defensive coach, center, point guard, and arguably one of the best 4's. Then you have a seven footer in Omer coming off the bench. Deng has done a lot for the Bulls but it is time to cash in. Derrick Rose's body will break down if he continues to have to work...now he can run sets for Rip, and throw it in the post. Both Gasol and Howard will come in with chips on their shoulders. Getting rid of Deng would allow Thibs to develop Butler who will be better than Deng. This Bulls team would dominate for years and would finally make the Heat underdogs.
