Tonight the San Antonio Spurs will look to go up 2-0 in their first-round series against the Utah Jazz but it is last year's first-round loss to the Memphis Grizzlies that is still weighing on the team's mind according to Boris Diaw. Diaw spoke to French site L'Equipe.fr about the Spurs and the playoffs and mentioned last season's loss to Memphis still haunts the team. It is true that here, everyone is still thinking about the (playoff) elimination of last year. So we approach the first round with the utmost seriousness. This is not because we are the first-seed and approach the round like it will be easy. The experience of last year is still very present at this level. And I also feel some anger toward Memphis who defeated the Spurs. The team remembers that series and would love to play Memphis to avenge the loss.
