Don't hold your breath for Marcus Banks to become a Maverick

The Matt Carroll-for-Marcus Banks trade rumor is apparently just that, a rumor. There isn't a realistic chance of it happening, according to somebody who would know. Not that the deal would have had any impact on the Mavs' rotation. As far as adding to the core goes, the Mavs will continue to work the phones to see if they can make any more upgrades. But if they get anything for the Greg Buckner buyout contract, that'd be a bonus.
