Jocks and Stiletto Jill:
Dr. Jerry Buss was known to keep the company of beautiful woman. Whether in his box at Staples Center or out at some of the hottest clubs in LA, Dr. Buss often times would be surrounded by a bevy of younger, exotic beauties. It makes sense that Dr. Buss had a girlfriend at the time of his passing last month and made sure that he changed his will last year to include her. 29-year old Delia Cortez was left his Honolulu, Hawaii condo and his 2009 Bentley. Cortez lives in Hawaii and is studying to be a veterinarian. The two reportedly started dating years ago when Cortez lived in Marina Del Rey. Dr. Buss was 80 at the time of his death. A little back story on the Marina. For years, players have taken up residence in the area because of it’s proximity to the Lakers practice facility and back before the Lakers moved to Staples Center, it’s a quick straight shot to the Forum. The Clippers opened their practice facility in Playa Vista which is essentially Marina Adjacent. The rest of his e...

MINNEAPOLIS The basketball is in Steve Nash's hands, then quickly tossed away.
The ball is a rebound that no longer matters.
Ricky Rubio's hands are on his head. The clock rests at zero. He doesn't know where to walk or to look.

Dwight Howard had 25 points, 16 rebounds, five blocks and five steals, and Pau Gasol...
It was yet another nail in the proverbial coffin for the Lakers last night, as they lost yet again to the Milwaukee Bucks and Kobe Bryant left the arena with another injury, an apparent bone spur in his foot that flared up. He was spotted on one crutch Tiny Tim style. If the Lakers make the playoffs, Kobe will have to declare, “God bless us, everyone!”
For fantasy owners, this...
Dwight Howard has been known to have a signature spin move to avoid opposing defenders. On Thursday, his footwork was put to the test against the Milwaukee Bucks’ mascot, Bango.
Prior to the Los Angeles Lakers’ matchup with the Bucks, Howard was spotted walking toward his team’s locker room. The 27-year-old’s peaceful stroll through the hallways at BMO Harris Bradley Center...
MINNEAPOLIS The Lakers will play without Metta World Peace Wednesday night and for the rest of the season. The team announced earlier that day that the small forward will miss at least six weeks in order to undergo surgery on a torn meniscus in his left knee, leaving the Lakers' roster again in flux.
In the short term, the injury will help the Timberwolves, who will not face...

Anyone else wondering why the Milwaukee Bucks’ mascot isn’t a buck? Yea me neither.
Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard had an embarrassing moment before his team’s 113-103 loss to the Bucks last night. When entering the BMO Harris Bradley Center, Milwaukee’s mascot Bango, gave Howard the scare.

They say change is good. And after 17 years in existence, the WNBA is upgrading a few things. Out with the old logo, that resembled Jerry Buss (the NBA’s logo) in a 1960′s June Cleaver wig. And into an orange and white more current silhouette, that features a female hooper hitting a layup with the WNBA’s favorite look, a ponytail. Much more modern and continuing to forge the...
