Milwaukee Bucks’ forward Drew Gooden held an unusual contest via his Twitter account before Monday night’s game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls. Gooden, who played two seasons with the Bulls, tweeted that he would give away two tickets to the game to the first person that sent him a picture of a Bulls jersey in a toilet. First person that can twit pic me a Chicago Bulls jersey in the toilet will getmy tickets for tonight’s game — Drew Gooden (@DrewGooden) November 26, 2012 The fans responded: @drewgooden kirk hinrich twitter.com/Kruppsanity35/… — Zack Krupp (@Kruppsanity35) November 26, 2012   @drewgooden go bucks twitter.com/brettninmann/s… — brett ninmann (@brettninmann) November 26, 2012   @drewgooden twitter.com/poneill5/statu… — Pat O’Neill (@poneill5) November 26, 2012   The winner? Zack Krupp with the Kirk Hinrich jersey. Here you go Zack twitter.com/DrewGooden/sta… — Drew Gooden (@DrewGooden) November 26, 2012 This contest may have been a little shot at his former team, but Gooden says it was all in fun. He and his former teammate – Bulls’ center Joakim Noah – exchanged some friendly fire before the game and it was obvious the two were still friends. Just made it to Chicago. Bulls tomorrow payback’s a ***** — Drew Gooden (@DrewGooden) November 25, 2012   “@drewgooden: Just made it to Chicago. Bulls tomorrow payback’s a ******** quit clownin and eat your food goodybagz — Joakim Noah (@JoakimNoah) November 26, 2012   Lmao. @joakimnoah heard you eating @pfchangs tonight. Don’t get the chopsticks tangled in your wig — Drew Gooden (@DrewGooden) November 26, 2012   @drewgooden u don’t want twitter war goody. Word On the street is ur minglin around mastros. I’ll send bulls fans to come tie u up — Joakim Noah (@JoakimNoah) November 26, 2012 But it was Gooden’s Bucks that made a huge comeback, putting together a 42-14 run to overcome being down 78-51 with 2:50 to play in the 3rd quarter. So far, it’s Gooden – 1, Bulls – 0. This was Gooden’s victory tweet: Hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha!! Go Bucks!! — Drew Gooden (@DrewGooden) November 27, 2012 Although this wouldn’t be my first choice when putting together a contest with my fans (if I had any), but, hey, at least it’s original? Nonetheless, it’s always good to see professional athletes connecting with their fans and giving them a chance to do something they might otherwise not be able to do — even if it involves putting something in a toilet.
