The shocking news of Russell Westbrook’s knee injury last week rapidly redefined the entire NBA playoff picture. Without their second leading scorer and leading assist maker, many experts predict the Oklahoma City Thunder losing in the second round to the winner of the Clippers-Grizzlies series. Quite a revelation considering the Thunder were a lock for the NBA Finals no more than...

In the annals of NBA history, there are few players that have the grace of Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and earlier tonight, he showed off his aerial exploits to the fine folks in Houston.
Late in the fourth quarter of Rockets/Thunder game four, Durant crossed over Chandler Parsons and split the Rockets defense to throw down a nasty one-handed dunk:
Houston Rockets fans have likely heard the clip by now of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant proclaiming Houston as his city.

So when Russell Westbrook was announced out for the playoffs...

I don't mean to overreact to this, because it's just one first round playoff game between two teams that won't likely advance past the second round, due to injuries and inexperience. There's a very real chance that no one will think very much about this later, and that I'm just dealing with the ugly visual of a Game Five loss at home, in a series...
The Houston Rockets managed to hold off Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in an elimination game Monday night. There were several plays down the stretch that felt like KD would put the team on his back and closeout the first round playoff series. This fourth quarter dunk by KD on Chandler Parsons certainly looked like it was going to be the moment. With 1:13 left and the...
