The Oklahoma City Thunder survived a shootout with the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night. They held on for a 119-11 victory improving to 20-5 overall and 11-4 on the road.
The Warriors did not go quietly. In fact, they got off to a very impressive start, as they started the game on an 8-0 run, before point guard Russell Westbrook made a layup.
Monta Ellis played like a man possessed tonight, scoring 48 points, including 30 in the first half. That is something you don’t see every night, but Ellis is very well capable of doing that, which he showed tonight.
The Thunder also had to stave off a triple-double from forward David Lee. He finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. He is the first Warriors forward to record a triple-double since Chris Webber did it in 1993.
