Jocks and Stiletto Jill:
Dwight Howard and girlfriend Christine Vest had a baby boy in June. The details were kept on the low until the mother of Dwight’s oldest son, Braylon, Royce Reed congratulated the couple on social media. Christine has slowly been revealing baby parts via her Instagram account and on “throwback Thursday” she posted some of her pregnancy glamor shots.
Dwight is still signed with Adidas but I guess the plan is for baby to roll with an American basketball staple in the Jordan brand

The main reason Dwight Howard left Los Angeles is because he didn’t like the style of play. It was no secret that Howard did not like D’Antoni offense system.
D’Antoni told the Los Angeles Daily News the following about Howard going to Houston.

Even though he says he was disappointed, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says his team is "in a better spot" by losing out in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes.
A lot of civic pride gets wrapped up into these things we call NBA teams. Maybe that is why we get so emotional when players leave because it is like they are betraying the entire city.
That is something Dwight Howard knows having left Orlando after eight years and Los Angeles after one tumultuous year.
Yet, he is Houston's now and the city is embracing him as the conquering...
Dwight Howard has certainly had his share of critics following his decision to join the Houston Rockets. (OK. He had plenty before then as well.)
One such critic has been Howard's former coach Mike D'Antoni. Howard had been vocal in the past about how he asked the Lakers to hire Phil Jackson instead of D'Antoni following the firing of Mike Brown last season and has...
LAS VEGAS -- Mark Cuban isn't sweating whiffing on Dwight Howard. Not even in the desert.
The NBA's most involved and quoted owner has always been the eternal optimist when it comes to the personnel dealings of the Dallas Mavericks. What else would you expect? So Cuban and his front office went to work when the Mavs finished tied for last in the Howard Sweepstakes.
One can only hope the ashes have died out after the demise of this past Lakers season. Unfortunately the latest string of comments to come out of the Dwight Howard saga might have added a little gasoline to the fire.
It seems everyone lately has taken some parting shots at Howard including Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Shaquille O’Neal, and even Ice Cube. Their gripe has...
The Dallas Mavericks were one of the teams who were believed to be in the final running earlier this month as Dwight Howard weighed his options for the future. Once it became obvious Howard wasn’t going to return to Los Angeles, the Houston Rockets had to beat out the Mavs and the Golden State Warriors [...]
Let’s be honest, when a team – like the Dallas Mavericks – have failed to obtain the NBA elite’s services in consecutive seasons. they have to spin their loss in any way possible to make it appear they are better off without Deron Williams or Dwight Howard. And that’s exactly how Mark Cuban is spinning [...]The post Mark Cuban: Dallas Mavericks are “better off” without...
After signing with the Rockets, Dwight Howard did an interview with Stephen A. Smith, of course. What we have here is a brief “off the record” video which includes Smith explaining that he warned James Dolan not to trade Iman Shumpert, and a few cell phone issues.

The ESPYs came and went Wednesday night. It is OK if you did not notice as they are pretty meaningless and pointless. However, it is a nice bit of entertainment and occassionally a good joke comes out of it.
Mad Men actor John Hamm was this year's host and he was out throwing haymakers in his opening monologue at the NOKIA Theater in Los Angeles last night. Whether it was Dwight...
According to ESPN, after losing the Dwight Howard sweepstakes, the Lakers plan to make a run at NBA All-Star’s, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, in 2014 free agency.
The Los Angeles Lakers, whose plan to re-sign center Dwight Howard did not pan out this offseason, are poised to rebuild fast by focusing on the two biggest free agents of 2014 – LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony...
