Just recently it was reported through several outlets, and here on Rant Sports also, that Dwight Howard was now soured on the idea of being traded to the Orlando Magic and that he had informed Magic GM Otis Smith that he would not re-sign a contract with the Lakers. Well now it is being reported by CBS.com that Howard, despite contrary reports, does in fact have the Lakers high on his list of possible destinations. The report stated that the Nets, Mavericks, and Lakers are still the three teams on Howard’s list pre multiple sources close to the situation.
The Lakers would prefer to trade Pau Gasol rather than Andrew Bynum if they were in fact to do a deal for Howard. The Nets are also very interested in acquiring Howard and might be the front-runners to do so.
